Kawasaki motorcycles are a very popular make of bikes that are coveted by many would-be owners. Did you know that there is a web site where you can buy and sell Kawasaki motorcycles, and just about every other make and model, too? It's called Motoyard.com, and motorcycle owners in the know frequently check the auctions in search of a good deal on not only Kawasaki motorcycles and other big name bikes, but also all types of motorcycle apparel and parts.

Many people do not realize that Kawasaki got its start way back in 1924, as the company worked closely with the aircraft industry. The first Kawasaki motorcycle engines were created in 1949 as aviation-type engines that could be tailored to work as motorcycle engines. It took the company until 1954 to finally perfect a Kawasaki motorcycle, but it was distributed under the name of Meihatsu, a branch of Kawasaki's aircraft company.

Kawasaki purchased a company called Meguro Motorcycles in 1960, which caused the production of the Kawasaki motorcycle brand to become more visible to the public eye. This was a smart move on the company's part, and it led to Kawasaki motorcycles creating more of a range of different bikes than any other company. The Kawasaki tradition is to be a bit "different" from their competitors, and those who are fans of these bikes would agree that they are different, but in a good way. If you are the owner of a Kawasaki motorcycle, you have a bike that you can truly be proud of.
